Mary M.
Mary loves her job as the Executive Director of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. It’s a statement she’s been fortunate to be able to make for a couple decades. Her time in Columbus began as a Short North gallery owner then transitioned to Executive Director of the Short North Business Association. From there she became the Director of Marketing at the North Marketand in 2013 she landed her latest favorite job, as the first Executive Director of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. Her forte is supporting small, independent business owners and she is thrilled to be in the position of continuing to do so while getting to drink Ohio craft beer. So far in her tenure with the OCBA they have increased membership more than tenfold, hired a Communications Manager and a lobbyist, executed numerous successful events, created the Ohio Craft Brewers Conference, established Columbus Craft Beer Week, oversaw the creation of new organizational branding now exemplified in their magazine, website and passport app and obtained group health insurance options for their breweries. When not advocating for Ohio’s craft breweries you might find her walking the streets of her Harrison West neighborhood with her dog, Bogart, zipping about on her vintage Vespa motor-scooter or traveling to visit craft breweries in Ohio and beyond.
Mary has been volunteering for At Home By High for over a year. She’s helped moved many heavy objects, baked many amazing treats (such as the bags of cookies in this photo) for our members, donated her handmade magnets and coasters, helped with companionship visits, and attending some of our coffee meet-ups. We are so lucky to have Mary as a friend, neighbor, and volunteer
